We recently visited a food manufacturing plant that is making butter, which immediately made me want a baked potato.  However, despite my hunger pangs we visited with the maintenance supervisor and discussed some improvements that could be made to his lubrication program.

As you can see in this picture, all of his oil transfer containers are color coded.  However, there is no color coordination in the plant beyond that so we discussed the ability to tag every piece of equipment with a matching tag to the type of oil required.

This will eliminate some opportunities for error if filling or topping off a piece of equipment simply comes down to matching colors rather than hunting for the right oil in the lube room.

This was an easy next step for the butter plant to implement and consulting on lubrication best practices is just one of the value-added services our customers enjoy when we get to work together.  Let us know how we can help you next!
